Hi all,

We have some doubts about the sponsor evaluation and where we stand and if any of you could give us some insight we would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any reply.
So here is our situation.
My boyfriend and I met at work, we both work for an airline in Europe. He is a Canadian citizen and I am Portuguese. We have somehow a complicated life as we pay taxes in England because we both work for an English company but we live in Italy as of 1 month mow. We sent our application while still living in Spain, where we met. We have been together for nearly 2 years now. Our application was received on the 23th of October 2011 in Mississauga so still unopen.
The 1st step is his evaluation as a sponsor. He has an appartment back in Canada and he earns quite a lot of money per year here in Europe. He has applied for some jobs that would allow him to move back to Canada but we are still waiting on the answer. So my question is, by the time our application gets open and if he still holds his present job here in Europe, would his situation of owning an appartment back in Canada be sufficient to qualify him as a sponsor? I'm affraid that that without the job offer that will allow him to say that he is moving back to Canada, he is going to be reffused as my sponsor.
Anyway, he won't be working for a Canadian company, but in another country, commuting on his days off to Canada as he works for the airline industry.

The job offer will come, we just don't know if in time of his evaluation. I'm affraid we might have to start the process once again once we have it and I really don't want that.

Well, if any of you can shed some light on this matter, we would be greatful.

Thanks,

s.

As a Canadian citizen he can sponsor while living outside Canada the"trick" is he has to prove he will move back to Canada and the apartment itself is normally good enough proof especially if he has a lease or anything also work on the job offers but as long as he can show the outland VO that he will move back to Canada he should be fine
