My wife never got an email or letter saying she was approved, but I got a automated email from buffalo giving me my file number and UCI. I received it august 26th. We checked the box to have the application returned if she was denied, so that can't be it. I'm confused as to why she never heard anything or why the agent who she talked to the same day that I received the email couldn't tell her that she was approved. I can get into ecas with my file number an info but she can't with her receipt number an info. Also my ecas only says application received an it's the date it was received in mississaugua

If your wife is permanent resident then try to use her permanent resident card number.

Don't put a whole lot of faith in what eCAS is saying at the moment.

The good news is, she's been approved as your sponsor, otherwise Buffalo wouldn't have your file or be able to give you a file number, since you wanted the application returned if she wasn't approved.

Tell her to watch the mailbox for her letter.  And check her spam emails, just in case.
