Hi,

I got the Permanent Resident status in Canada in 2006. After searching for a decent job, for few months, in Canada I came to Saudi Arabia. Also, I got married last year, but, I have not applied for my wife's Canadian immigration yet.

Now, I am planning to go to Canada for good with my wife. I cannot leave without her. Kindly suggest what should I do in this regard. What are my options here?

Regards,

--Khan.

As a PR of Canada you have no option but to sponsor your wife while you reside in Canada. The chance that your wife will get a visitor visa is very slim (almost nill). So, you have to reside in Canada. By then you can start the sponsorship process from outside. Once your wife is approved for PR she can join you. How long does this take? it all depends on every case and every individual circumstances.

Best of luck
