sponsor Q'aire 5540: past tele #'s and proof of intent to re-establish?

I'm working on this form and wonder just how detailed CIC gets here. My wife (the Canadian Citizen) hasn't lived in Canada for 12 years, but question 8 asks for the addresses (she can get these) AND the telephone numbers at every address she has lived at in the USA since leaving Canada. We can probably come up with the last one, but not the 6-7 before that. Will they throw out our app for this? Question 11 also wants proof that we're moving back (as if the $1800 app is not enough). Since we are self employed and do not own property, and do not really wish to sign a lease (or buy a house) site unseen just to satisfy this requirement, and we don't leave for Canada til May, but are submitting this application now. There are no options I can check except for "other". We are moving there near family, and are self-employed. Any ideas on what could be valid "proof"? Also, if you have an opinion, since our application will still be in process when we arrive at the border, is a copy of your pending application for P.R. good enough at the border ? Thank you guys so much.

For the phone numbers, do your best to find them, but if you can't, just attach a note explaining that you don't remember them and couldn't find them. For my application I did not have the addresses for many places I lived, some places I lived didn't actually have an address and I had to describe the location, and I had no idea of the phone numbers for most; none of this was ever questioned by the visa officer or CIC.
You could get letters from family members offering to let you stay at their home when you first come to Canada. This shows your intention, and also that you have made plans. Also, since you will actually be back in Canada before the processing of the visa is over, once you are settled in Canada send proof of this to be added to your file. A forum member (Merkopal) was refused because the VO did not believe the Canadian spouse would go back to Canada; Merkopal got the refusal letter while he was working at his job in Toronto. Since they had obviously already moved back, they were able to get the decision overturned, and the visa was quickly issued.
