I can't believe I'm still asking this, but I am working on my application for a 2nd extension. I already did this last year but I can't remember how I filled it out (didn't make a copy - rookie mistake!)

So on the guide for the extension app it says a family member can be your husband. To me that means as long as he's not your sponsor, but I"m afraid to leave blank and have it returned.

Grrrrr!

We just filled that out and we put me (sponsor) down as spouse but indicated I'm Canadian and currently in Canada.  I couldn't find anywhere that said not to indicate the spouse.  Would assume it might help with the application for the reason to be in Canada since I'm supporting my husband.

Family members on an application to extend temporary status in Canada would not include a spouse who is already a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.  Your "family members" for an extension application would only be those family members who do not already have permanent status in Canada - for whom you would also be applying to extend temporary status.

Guess we have 170 days to find out if we were wrong.
