sponsor my wife- no respond till now!!

I have sent my application to sponsor my wife since March 2011. I live outside Canada and I sent all papers by mail to Canada Immigration. they didn't contact me nor tell me if they recieved the application. I am afraid they didn't even get the papers, what shall i do in this case? who should I contact? i wrote to the embassy in Damascus (as i live in Jordan) but no one answerd me.

Is this normal not to send me any notification ,or they have at least to send me something! I already paid the fees by visa and insert the recipt inside the mail with the application.

please someone to advice I am so confiused.

I think you should call the CIC and ask what is happening?

Did you check your junk email and everything? or ur wifes?

If you sent your file to Mississauga, they should have notified you when the file left them and was sent onwards.

You can find their address here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/mississauga.asp and can mail them an inquiry into your case.

do they usually contact us through e-mail or regular mail box ? I have mentioned both in my application.

Did you receive a letter from Canada saying you are accepted as a sponsor? We are submitting through the Damascus office as well. Don't expect to hear anything from them for at least 10 months after sponsor approval. It's just the way they like to do things there

I myself received my approval letter by regular post from Mississauga.

as you see they mentioned that if it has been longer than the time shown there since you applied you can call them. See their contacts here :

In our case, my husband ( my sponsor) got an email with the  sponsorship approval, I didn't get mail at home.
