Sponsor my american fiance to be a canadian

I am a Canadian citizen and my fiance is American. I am currently in USA based on a tourist visa and I have to go back in Canda in about 2 months. We want to get married real soon and move back in Canada. My question is what is the best option : to get married here in USA or to do it in Canada if we want to be able to stay together during the process and limit the waiting time for him to be able to work in Canada ? Hello!

It doesn't matter which of the two countries you marry in.  Either way, your new spouse will be "legal" to sponsor.  Neither country makes this process 'faster'.

If you look at Outland, you will do better than Inland.  Your new spouse can still visit up to 6 months with no working (or going to school), but during that time you can start the process and possibly even have it completed by the time those six months roll around.  You may even be able to extend their stay for an additional $75.00.   I've seen folk who extend their stay for up to a year, which should be MORE than enough time to land your spouse.

Sponsoring Outland is by far better for an American spouse.  It's usually over and done with by the time some poor person's Inland application is in first stage approval (or worse, sent to a local office).

Thanks a lot for your anwers, that process is a bureaucratic nightmare. So, I plan to get married in about a month here in USA. After that, I guess that I have to enter Canada with my husband with the weeding certificate and I talk for him (shut up babe lol) , then I ask for the PR. Once we enter Canada, can he or we go back to USA during the process ? How long does it takes usually to get the PR, we are both student so supporting ourselves without working is not evident.

Another question, we will probably jungle between the 2 country for a while. Can I ask for a PR or US citizenship and conserve my canadian citizenship and the same for him ? If so, how does it works ? The facts is we are thinking about spending a year in US to allow him finish his school when I'm working because US college are really expensive and then go in Canada for me to finish my school. So, it's basicly trying to find a way to finish school and be together. If the process for him to be a canadian it's not that long (lets say under 4-5 months), we will be able to mve in Canada real soon.

What you need to do now before you get married is download and fill out the forms to apply for PR.  Once you have those filled out, all the proof of your relationship, and information, including FBI check and medical check, then you can file your applications.  There is a sponsor application for you the sponsor and an application for your fiance to fill out.  I highly recommend that you start doing the forms now, as they require a lot of information for your fiance.  Check the FBI processing times and apply for that as close as you can to filing your applications.  Both applications get sent to Mississauga and once you are approved, then your file will get transferred to Buffalo.  You have to pay $550 at the start and either pay $490 at the start of the process or during the process.
Your fiance also has to have a medical done by a DMP.  You can go to the CIC website and find a DMP in your area to book the appointment and find out how much it will cost.  If after you get married, you and your spouse want to come back to Canada, then he will not be able to work.  If you stay in the US with him, you will have to show intent to move back to Canada.  When you cross the border together make sure you have proof of ties back to his hometown, such as a rental agreement, lease, paystubs or a letter from his employer stating that he is expected back to work, to prove that he will go back.
If you can pay the application fees before you cross the border, make sure you have the receipts when you cross and show them that you are planning on or have applied for PR status, and that you are doing this the legal way.

From the last post that I quoted, you seem to think this a quick process.  Unfortunately this process is NOT easy and NOT quick.  Some files do go through quicker than others but you can be waiting for 11 months or more to have your PR granted.

Another question, do my fiance has to wait untill the complete PR process is complete to be able to work in canada and visit USA or they give him a temporary PR status allowing him to work and travel ? Basically, how long does it takes for him to work and be autorized to visit USA ?

Assuming you apply outland, your husband will be able to work once he is approved as a permanent resident and lands in Canada.

Alternatively, he can try to find an employer in Canada who is willing to hire him and file a Labour Market Opinion to be approved to hire him. If he can find such an employer, he can apply for a work permit tied to that employer.
