Hi all,

quick question, my wife and sponsor is moving back to canada in a few days to take up a new job (we applied outland).  The London VO has received my application, but to date has not started processing and I therefore don't have a file reference number from them.

As the sponsor is changing address (and will also not be accompanying me when I arrive to land - she'll be there to meet me instead) we need to tell CIC.  But, do we tell the London VO, Mississauga, or both?

If we write to London, will the London VO recognise the client reference number we got from Mississauga when the sponsorship application was approved?

Any guidance would be appreciated!

Cheers
Chris

Is it a case where she was living exclusively outside of Canada and is now returning, prior to your receiving PR?

If so, advise London.  They may recognise the file number from CPC-M, but remember to identify you (the applicant) with name, DOB and address as well.

This will save London possibly asking later for proof that your wife has concrete plans to relocate.  A copy of her job offer, plus any other arrangements (lease/rental agreement for new address) that have been made would be great to add to this.

Hi Charlie, yes that is exactly the case.

I did think however that the evidence of plans to relocate was scrutinised at the sponsor approval stage rather than my residency application stage?  She has already been approved as sponsor.

As it is, we can include a copy of the employment contract with the letter just to be on the safe side.  She'll be living with her sister and we already included a letter from her sister saying that she/we were welcome to stay with her as part of the original application.

even if she was approved as sponsor they might still ask for proofs of relocation during the process...other embassies do....so it's better if u advise them urself with all the proofs u said, her new address and even maybe her plane ticket...if u advice London it should b enough
