A few questions to ask: for Inland application thru CPC Veg, Alberta.

My sponsor is going for EI (Emplyoment Insurance) at the end of April. We applied the Common-Law/Spouse sponsor inland application last year in October and yet to receive something from CIC. Will our application be affected because my sponsor is going for EI? We are expecting our baby. And I am still on Visitor's visa, no work permit however applied an OWP with my PR application. Is there anyway I can check what is going on with my application? I received a phone call last November though asking me if I still am staying in British Columbia and my work history, that's all she asked me.

Any comments? Appreciate them gratefully. Thanks!

Any comments about my topic?

Is my sponsor still eligible to sponsor me as she is going for EI expecting our baby? We applied our application last year October. Will there be any effect and so on?

Thanks!

I am 96% sure that EI will not affect sponsorship.  EI is not welfare, it's more like insurance, you pay into it and you have the right to receive back from it when you need to.

You are correct about EI is not welfare (govt money). So this concludes that you don't owe any money to govt or given money from government. My sponsor should still be eligible to sponsor.

Thanks Leon.
