I've sponsored my mother to migrate to Canada. It's been 1 year since I've sponsored. The process time is roughly 4 years. My mother was staying with my sister. My sister recently got her Canadian PR and she is migrating to Canada next month. My mother is widowed and she doesn't have anyone to look after her.
Can I ask my mother to apply for a visitor visa so she can come and stay with us while the sponsorship is being processed? Will this affect the sponsorship in anyway?

Thanks you.

This will not affect the sponsorship.

However it will be hard to convince the embassy that your mother will go back to her country, since she already asked for a PR... But maybe you can explain the situation in the letter of invitation for the TRV, they might consider it.
