She can invite you but there are no guarantees that the visa application gets approved.

what are the other options for me to go to canada? some of my friends told me that if you have a friend who is a permanent residence in Canada she can sponsor you.

You start looking here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp for an immigration class you could qualify under.

If you have 2 friends in Manitoba, they can sponsor you under the Provincial nominee program there but as far as I know, that is the only instance where a friend can sponsor for immigration.

Of course it would be possible if your friend can get you a job offer that you can immigrate on the basis of that.

Then you can take a look at http://www.saskimmigrationcanada.ca/sinp and see if there is something there that you qualify under.
