sponsor a cousin

I m a single person  in Canada  (Quebec). no parents nor a sibling and their children any where in the world. . even no body abroad excepts some cousins . can i sponsor one of my cousins as a family member. . my parents  , uncle and aunt also not alive. thanks.

So you do not have a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner (boyfriend/girlfriend), children, mother, father, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, grandparents or aunts or uncles living.  Basically, your cousin's parents are not living as well and you have NO living relatives in the world other than these cousins.

If that is the case, then yes, you can sponsor them as a member of the family class assuming you meet the elgibility requirements and they are not medically or criminally inadmissible.

 You perfectly understood. i have  no other close relative alive except some cousins in this universe. i m divorced without having a kid.
 BUT
  i m upset about the definitions of relative every where which are not including cousins in this category.. but in my case will they accept a cousin . or do i go to SK for SNIP. cos they mentioned cousins in the family class.  if i go to SK i have to live there minimum one year b4 sponsoring in SNIP  which is really hard for me. please what you suggest .thanks

You can sponsor your cousin (only one) as a member of the family class which is a federal program and has nothing to do with the provincial programs you are mentioning.  It's done the same way you would sponsor your parents so you would have to meet the minimum LICO (financial requirements) and the person you sponsor must be both medically and criminally admissible per the Act.  And I'm assuming the timelines would be similar although I don't know as you are the first person I've heard of in the last year who's actually been qualified under this section of the Regulations.

Don't worry about these definitions you are reading.  The one you need to worry about is at the beginning of the Immigration Refugee Protection Regulations which define a relative as:

a person who is related to another person by blood or adoption

I recommend that you seek some advice from an immigration lawyer or consultant as the onus will be on you to prove that you have no other living relatives in the world other than these cousins.  Best of luck.
