Hi
I'm a Canadian citizen currently working in Saudi  since last year, I want to sponsor my husband from while I'm in Saudi, I know I can since I'm a citizen but what if we want to come back together to Saudi and continue working after my husband becomes landed immigrant.
after landing can we go back to Saudi and if we can and he wants to apply for citizenship does the counting of days work for him if he is living with his sponsor outside Canada or he must be in Canada for the days to be counted for citizenship application.
Thanks

To apply for his PR from outside Canada, you have to convince immigration that you are planning to move to Canada when he gets his PR.  If that works out for you and they give him his PR, you have to go to Canada to activate it but after that I see no reason why you can't go back to Saudi.  He will not lose his PR for living outside Canada while he is with you as a spouse and you are a citizen but he can not apply for citizenship until he physically lives in Canada for 3 years in a 4 year period.
