Hi !
Can I get sponsered as a dependent by my mom (who is a PERMANENT RESIDENT of canada and meets her residency obligation ) ,as I got my PR card cancelled for not meeting the residency obligation ( when I am 21 ) and now I an 22 and I have been enrolled in continuous full time study for like past 15 years ?
does the fact that I got my PR card cancelled will complicate the sponsership application or it wont ?
Thanks !

It should not complicate things that you had PR before as long as everybody is clear that you have lost it. As long as you stay a full time student and stay single, your mom can sponsor you.

If you know you haven't met the residency requirements and want to cancel your PR status to be sponsored again, you should contact a Canadian embassy where you live and ask about that. You would have to sign some documents and give them your PR card.

A brother can sponsor under some provincial nominee programs so it depends on where the brother lives.

Oh yeah, I think Alberta allows it. Maybe others as well. It's not possible under the federal program, though. A brother can sponsor under some provincial nominee programs so it depends on where the brother lives.
