im doing my application on the computer and some forms like the generic will not allow me to type in a lot of the spaces because it reads that i dont require the part. But..should I fill those spaces in with a pen, or leave it blank?

don't leave any blanks.  If not applicable write n/a....  If not enough space, use a separate piece of paper - advise on the form you have used a separate piece of paper.
