So my partner was out this morning and while he was there was a slip for a missed delivery.  The postman tried to deliver a signed for letter (we think this could be PPR!!) but there was another letter too.  It reads;

Dear XXXX,
Please note that we have removed your child from the application because it appears as though she has claim to Canadian citizenship.  Please inform us ASAP if this is not the case.

Sincerely,

Canadian High Commission

Now what does this mean?  I'm a permanent resident living IN Canada with our child (who is a British citizen) sponsoring my partner (in the UK) and our daughter.  Does it mean for some reason we don't have to apply for our daughter because she's automatic?  She's three, or have they got their wires crossed and this is not the case?  I don't want to screw anything up by giving them false information by accident.  Can anyone shed some light on this?  Thanks so much!

Was your daughter born in Canada, or is her father not your UK partner and a Canadian citizen?  If so, they are correct and she has claim to citizenship by birth or inheritance.  If this is incorrect, and your UK partner is her father and she was born outside Canada, then they are incorrect and you need to advise them ASAP so she can be included in the sponsorship.

And yes, that other letter was most likely your PPR!
