Hello all,

I am a software engineer with four years of experience in software development with Java and related technologies, I hold a bachelors of engineering with information technology (B.E I.T) from India (I am an Indian citizen).

My wife is an ayurvedic medical practitioner (B.A.M.S).

Here's the details of my self

- Citizen of India
- 26 years old
- four years of experience
- Job title : Senior software engineer
- Very good command on english.
- At present absolutely zero knowledge of french
- No canada experience
- No relatives in canada

Is software engineers or computer programmers classify under NOC ?
How many bands I need in IELTS to prove my English capability High or moderate

What's my chance of getting visa !   or any valuable suggestions from senior members ?

Thanks

You can come to Canada to study for 1 year and apply, or wait until you become a manager.

Or check if you can apply on basis of your wife's medical background. I don't know much abt other NOCs ... just a thought ...
Good Luck with what ever you decide.

Hi,

Since your experience does not come under the NOC 38, the best option would be to come to canada to do a MS and then apply for a PR under Canadian Experience class.

Straight from India, if you apply to CIU-NS,  they would not accept your application as it does not come under NOC-38.

Other option is to wait till you become a Manager and then complete ateast 1-year on the same job and then apply under section 0213.

Anyway it's your choice now.

All the best in your decision.

Pls read the ministerial notification at the CIC web site about the NOC 38 for FSW. This explains in detail as you should be in a managerial role under 0213 and not any other sub-section AFAIK. In your case, even if you submit your case, it may not be accepted under the fast-track program.

I would suggest you contact a good immigration attorney to asses your case. It is worth spending that money and later you can decide to apply directly once you are sure that you can apply.

All the best.
