I still don't understand, is it compulsory its an immigration requirement? or its just only for social worker job in canada, what if some does'nt want to do CASW or credential assessment??? then what
As per current instructions, it is not am immigration requirement. However this is might change if the new FSW instructions set in (if it ever does). *Mandie* |

Hello Everybody,
I got my medicals today and also asked to pay the RPRF fees... I applied in june 2011... Noc 4152
My question: am not sure if i need to pay for my child as well... On their website it only says for Applicant and spouse if any..

Hiiiii, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Great news indeed. As far as i know, RPRF is Can $ 490 each, and no fee for children below a certain age. Hello Friend, I have applied under same category on 28th may 2011 and my case is still in process. can you guide me that how much more time it will take? I am a little fearful. Thanks Dear Y2J, that's the same question i have been asking around, and what i was told by the seniors is, Not To Worry! since we have experience in the same occupation and our Job description matches the responsibilities shown in NOC by HRDC, we even have degrees in Social Sciences, we can apply...
“It's quite logical in a sense that, psychologists, doctors, mbas, physicians, nurses, are working as social workers in many countries” (I am quoting the words of our dear member “Ekram” in this line and I want to thank him for that).
But one important thing to keep in mind is that we will have to get our degrees evaluated in order to continue as a social worker in Canada, because it is a regulated occupation in Canada except in 02 Northwest Territories, Yukon & Nunavut.

its not an immigration requirement. its not mandatory also even if you want a work in Canada. but if you wish to pursue a job in Social Worker field, you may need it. its purpose is to know where your position is in Canadian Education system with your credentials in your home country. |

why do you want to do it now? credential assessment may be done once you reach Canada. how will it affect your immigration as this assessment is not mandatory for immigration ? |
