 @  Maaties

What about Marketing Managers.  Can they apply according to new NOC list. One of my wants to be?

Its hard to say. Depends on your job duties.

Good point. Does this mean one doesn't need a year of experience. One just needs some experience within the last 10 years.
Its the same, that the applicant will need 1 year continuous work experience.

Is my application eligible for processing?

For your application to be eligible for processing, you must include the results of your official language proficiency test, and either:

have a valid offer of arranged employment, OR
be a skilled worker who has had one year of continuous full-time or equivalent part-time paid work experience in at least one of the following eligible occupations within the last ten years:

Well, it looks like I'm out.  I work in higher education working fulltime as a multimedia technician (NOC 2164 which was never on the list)) and was teaching parttime at the college level (NOC 4131 which was on the list) for over ten years.  I waited too long and don't see many options.  I am considering going back to work on an MBA in Canada.  I keep hearing that Canada wants educated people to immigrate and that the immigration process is fairly simple, yet I keep running into roadblocks.  Also, I'm pushing 50 so don't have much time to make a change.
