Hi all,

I am posting the Synopsis of 26.06.2010 notice/new changes posted by jojobaba on this forum, which can clear lot of confusions;
Synopsis of  26.06.2010 notice/new changes relating to federal skilled worker class ( FSW)-Applicable to all applications lodged/received by CIO from 26.06.2010 onward

1-Cap of 20,000 application ( without arranged employment) to be considered for processing each year( for new application only)
2- within cap of 20,000: 1000 Cap per NOC code for application to be considered for processing each year(for new application only)
3-In calculating the caps, applications will be considered in order of the date they are received. Applications received on the same date will be considered for processing having regard to routine office procedures.
4-For the unique purpose of calculating the caps, the first year will begin on June 26, 2010, and end on June 30, 2011. Subsequent years will be calculated from July 1st to June 30th, unless otherwise indicated in a future Ministerial Instruction
5- IELTS's must with initial application to CIO
6-Processing order ( considered for processing ) subject to condition of capping:
i- FSW with AEO
ii- FSW with 1 year experience evidence  in any of the following 29 NOC codes in the last 10 year.

Part-A: These 18 NOCs  belong to old 38 list

1   0631 Restaurant and Food Service Managers

4   3142 Physiotherapists
5   3152 Registered Nurses
6   3215 Medical Radiation Technologists

8   6241 Chefs
9   6242 Cooks
10   7215 Contractors and Supervisors, Carpentry Trades
11   7241 Electricians (Except Industrial & Power System)
12   7242 Industrial Electricians
13   7251 Plumbers
14   7265 Welders & Related Machine Operators
15   7312 Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanics
16   7371 Crane Operators
17   7372 Drillers & Blasters — Surface Mining, Quarrying & Construction
18   8222 Supervisors, Oil and Gas Drilling and Service

Part-B:New additions to new list( 11)

7-  Class:B:Removal of NOCs ( 19) from old list of 38 NOCs:
0111: Financial Managers
0213: Computer and Information Systems Managers

7252: Steamfitters, Pipefitters and Sprinkler System Installers
8221: Supervisors, Mining and Quarrying
9212: Supervisors, Petroleum, Gas and Chemical Processing and Utilities

Likely repercussions for existing applicants ( pre 26.06.2010):
a- Applicants belonging to class A above ( 18 NOCs) would not be affected & would continue to be processed without capping limit
b- There is still a sliver lining for class C applicant as new applications would be zero and existing would continue to be processed without capping limit.
c- Early new application for class B would be processed early as there are zero application under this class for fast track.

In conclusion these changes are the hardest one in nature and a clear signal that once the immigration heavens  are not afterwords.

All the best!

hopefully they will go by your post mark. For something else, I saw that they go by postmark. In this case they did not mention it but hopefully they go by postmark and then you'd be okay. good luck.

I hope so, I sent my application on 23rd June, under NOC 4131. Cry

Clearly a Tougher change for PR aspirants.
Bulk of the PR applicants were from these 19 removed NOCs.
Canada is reeling for its weakening economy, there have been small changes but in the wake of these changes, they want their men to get the newly created jobs not by the PR.

Protectionism !

ADVANTAGE AND DISADVANTAGE OF NEW DEMAND LIST

Dear friends,

Let's discuss what will be the advantage and disadvantage after coming new demand list.

Most of the people qualify under NOC related to account (NOC:0111/1111), teaching(NOC:4131/4121) and computer(NOC:0213). But all the related NOC are removed from Demand list.

No one can be applying in this NOC's in future.

Those candidate who was on waiting list and think to apply in next 3 months, this news was very disappoint them, they will not eligible to apply.

This news is good for those who has already applied in this NOC's. They will get the fast process by Immigration officer to remove back logs.

Immigration consultant/ agent/ canadavisa.com will not get more clients in future. It will affect on business of Immigration agents who deal with clients for Canada Permanent visa.

All new 29 occupation list NOC's are odd, visa office will not get many case for these NOC and they will be free. It will be difficult to find at least 1000 case on particular NOC's in the year.

Some NOC are very odd, welders, plumbers and crane operators can be found, but they are not educated and can not reach to 67 points.

•   0811 Primary Production Managers (Except Agriculture)
•   1233 Insurance Adjusters and Claims Examiners
•   2121 Biologists and Related Scientists
•   2151 Architects
•   3131 Pharmacists
•   4151 Psychologists
•   4152 Social Workers
•   6241 Chefs
•   7215 Contractors and Supervisors, Carpentry Trades
•   7216 Contractors and Supervisors, Mechanic Trades
•   7251 Plumbers
•   7265 Welders & Related Machine Operators
•   7312 Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanics
•   7371 Crane Operators
•   7372 Drillers & Blasters — Surface Mining, Quarrying &
Construction
•   8222 Supervisors, Oil and Gas Drilling and Service

Number of Agent who work to help to get Arrange Employment will increate, and AEO will the single option to qualify under FSW. Agent charge very high for AEO and It will increase cases of cheating in Immigration business.

Student visa will be the best option for those who want to settle in Canada legally. More people will divert to Student visa.

Look on the new Demand list listed below,

Does Canada really need professionals or General workers?

When I see the new Demand list and I shocked and I can not believe.

I have seen the same occupation list in advertisement for company of Gulf countries like Dubai, Saudi, Riyal, Kuwait, and Oman. These countries need workers in category like welder, plumber and crane operators. They pay more for category workers and less for general workers.

I can not understand the connection between Canada and Gulf countries.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/releases/2010/2010-06-26.asp

Government of Canada will welcome more economic immigrants in 2010
Each year, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) sets out a plan for the number of immigrants it intends to welcome within economic, family and humanitarian immigration categories. The planned range for 2010 is 240,000 – 265,000 immigrants. CIC generally achieves the midpoint of this range. In 2010, CIC anticipates achieving the upper end of this range, allowing Canada to welcome more immigrants in the economic category than originally planned. This includes federal skilled workers and record-level numbers of provincial nominees, without reducing the number in the family or humanitarian immigration categories.

Since the first instructions were issued in November 2008, the backlog of federal skilled worker applicants in process prior to the legislation has dropped from 640,000 to 380,000. The majority of decisions on new applications are being made in six to 12 months, compared with up to six years prior to the changes. But in the first quarter of 2010, the number of new applications rose significantly beyond the department's ability to process them in a timely way, leading to the recognition that a more refined approach is necessary.

I dont understand it,
Does it mean no of applicants are including those CAP 20000 applicants which will be considered after 26th june.
