hi all,

i feel so stressed after reading some of your messages saying most of you have tons of e-mails, chat logs, skype logs between you and your spouse. i wasn't aware that my archive or history in skype or YM are disabled. since 2007 my husband and i are really using the skype and YM extensively for hours and now there is no way to justify that since i dont have any proof.. all i have are our chat messages in YM which are all in our native language that need to be translated plus phone bills and love letters..which are not enough. i have lost some of my phone bills also so i wasn't able to include ALL of my monthly bills as proof. in my application for permanent residency under spousal sponsorship i have been stressing out that my husband and i communicate through skype EXTENSIVELY everyday several times per day. do u think this will be a loophole in my application?.. since there is no means to justify it. will this be a negative point for me? i'm not a techie person.. i don't even know how to print skype logs.. Sad

we are also using magicjack.. is there a way to print the call history?

just need your thoughts to lift my spirit up.. thnx..

Hi,

We did not use Skype so cannot help you there...but if the relationship is genuine and you have some proof of continuing contact then I am sure that will help.

I have read about some people who have sent the bare minimum and got approved pretty quickly.  It is not about the volume of what you have but the quality.  E-mails and photos are good and you do have some phone bills.

Sharon_M, as a proof that we have been talking through Skype (since there is no phone bills, because we didn't call using regular phone) we sent along with our application an e-mail printed that I have received from Skype saying that I paid for more credits to call. I even thought about taking a picture of the computer monitor with the Skype program opened and showing to whom I called and sent messages (all to my husband!) but we had enough proof of relationship already. I have the same problem. I didn't log any conversation with my husband but I have long distance cards thousands of them. Should I explain to them we spoke more on the phone than writing to each other. Also since it's long distance phone cards, there is no contact information when I was calling my husband  would they believe that I was calling him.
All I have is wedding pictures, a few letters, a few cards and long distance card.
I have changed recently my bills to reflect his name as well.
Would that be sufficient...

I just called immigration in Mississ. and actually told me to send what I have even the minimum but don't send them all because if they want more they'll requested. As long you are honest and write everything and explain the circumstances that shouldn't be a problem.
