i read about someone whose application was refused after inetrview and medicals due to the fact that he could not show enough proof that he has a relative in canada.he said his spouse's sister and husband are canadian citizens but he was refused.is it possible to refuse someone's application after interview and medicals based on the issue above or others.soj

The main reason should be the following: since he has a canadian sister-in-law (Am I OK?) this relationship does not apply.

in my case it was almost the same bercause of my sister-in-law (canadian citizen), but I got points from my "nieces" not from her.

He will not get any points on this relationship, but if the spouse had applied, certainly the sibling factor works becase the brother is also Canadian Citizen.

I guess he is talking about his Spouse's sister so it means his sister-in-law is the canadian citizen not his wife, unless his wife is the principal applicant so the sibling does apply for her, but if he is the principal it does not apply for him. please double check the CIC link, I could be wrong of course.
