skilled worker from UK - where to post application

Hi,
Hopefully this has a simple answer!
I am a British citizen looking to apply for permanent residence visa as a skilled worker (not one of the 29 eligible occupations). Currently i live in the UK.
Firstly is there a difference between "federal skilled worker" and "skilled worker" or are they the same thing?
Secondly should i apply to the London office only or to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada...or both? there seems to be forms for the london office and forms for the CIO so this is confusing me a little, obviously i want to send my forms to the correct place.
Many thanks in advance

Dear Bradz, There are different categories to apply for the PR, i.e. Provincial nominees or Federal Skilled Worker,
If you want to apply as a skilled worker and ur credentials are not as required by the provincial nominees, u will have to apply under Federal skilled worker Program, with an arranged employment, or at least one year continues work experience from within the 29 NOCs, or u will have to wait till expected revised NOC List is issued probably in June 2011.
And in any case you will apply only once with all ur documents, to CIO.
I hope it will help u,
Warm Regards,
Nashe

FSW applications are sent to CIO Nova Scotia. DO NOT SEND TO LONDON. There are two checklists, CIO and VO Specific. You must put together your entire package in one go. The forms "appear" to be requested in both checklists, but you only provide ONE SET. Follow exactly what is asked for in each checklist (original/notarized/copy, etc). Your application will be reviewed and CIO will forward it to your visa office if approved.
Read the GUIDE carefully and then read it again. Know it inside out then follow each step as it advises. At the end you will see which address to use. Send it so that you get confirmation of it reaching CIO as that will be you only proof it has been received until your fees are cashed.
I don't know how far in the process you are toward collecting your documents, but if you meet the present qualifications and your occupation is in the NOC 29 list (and has not reached the 1000 CAP), then you would be smart to get your application delivered to CIO well in advance of 30 June. 1 July the rules may change and the 20,000 Cap will reset then. Good Luck!
