I am applying from Egypt.  I have a file number since Dec 2005. I still have a low score in Ilets (average 5.5).  My brother has recently became a permanent resident in canada.  Am I allowed to take 5 points because now I have a relative in canada.  Some people said that I can not take the 5 points of the relative because my brother obtained the PR status after I started my application

Update your application with prove of your brother's status in Canada, and proof of relationship and proof living in Canada.
