Its taking approximately 2 months to get your work permit. You can check the processing times on the website. If you are calling and they are still not recognizing your current application but giving information about your previous application then it means they have yet to input your information is the system.

somebody gave me tension that if ur  work permit is already expired than there can be a minimun possibility that immigartion dept. may refuse the work permit app.
...but i dont think so..
