Hi guys just saw this post and read everything thanks for sharing

btw Congrats to lilac and maxvol
I'm a singaporean married to canadian.
And I'm eagerly waiting still for any news. I have not received any news at all so far.

Here is my timeline:
23 September 2009 - App sent
14 October 2009 - Decision made on sponsorship
27 October 2009 - Case started processing
4 March 2010 - CNCC sent (no letter came to request for CNCC I used the sponsorship approval letter)

Nothing till now... I'm approaching the 5 month period and I am having nightmares.
I am disturbed as to why I have not heard anything at all... no talk about interview, nothing about requesting cncc, nothing about receiving my case... The only thing I can cling to is eCas that mentions case started processing 27 October and medicals received.

It's a really stressful process.

Did you guys receive any news after submitting the CNCC (police cert)??
Should I be expecting their email or letter to let me know my CNCC is filed??

I'm starting to think that all my mails are not getting to me or they've misplaced my file. Cry

Hi HappyGirl  have you submitted your cncc? if so when did you submit that?? And did you get any response from that?
Where are you from? Are you singaporean? Someone who has gotten her visa said her eCas added the medical results received and shortly after they requested for passport. I'm not sure how true this is cos my eCas has the medical results received news since 27 October 2009.

I may be one of the victims where mail has gone missing. I truly hope that is not the case and that I will hear very soon a request for passport. Crossing my fingers and praying hard.

Hi everyone.
My husband just received his PPR in the mail today!!! Cheesy Just for the record, ECAS still says "in process" no mention of receiving medicals or anything.
When i read the words "We are ready to issue your visa.." I was overcome with emotion.
I cant believe this process is almost over!!
Thanks to everyone for sharing their stories and answering questions.

Congrats and have a wonderful life with your husband. Smiley

I'm a singaporean. And this coming 24 March would be 6 months total of waiting including sponsorship.
I am really beginning to panic and worry why I have not heard anything till now.
So many people have gotten their PPR and their application started 1 month later than mine.
It's really breaking my heart to see every week someone getting their PPR and I still have not heard anything. No requests for additional documents, no interview waiver, nothing!! Cry

That said Good luck to your application. I'm a wreck now. Sad

fruittropics,
if it makes you feel any better we also did not receieve any requests for additional documents or interview waiver...nothing just silence from Nov 26 until today. I think no news can be good news too..although god knows it didnt feel that way at the time, more like no news=torture. But keep your head up! Good luck and all the best.

Thanks thai/peg
I really appreciate you for sharing this.
Because it seems to me everyone has at least gotten a letter that said that the application was in singapore and being processed, a interview/waiver, additional documents or even a response from the submission of the police cert.
It is lowering my panic a little reading what you wrote.
I guess I just have to be strong and hopeful.
Hope you guys get your passport fast! I hear it takes about 2 weeks and a few days.

Hi everyone.

I got my PPR today. I screamed and cried and almost fainted.
I'm submitting my passport in person tomorrow. They are open from 8.30am - 12.15pm Monday to Friday.
You will need to resubmit photos according to immigrations standard, not passport photos. (I'm going out to take photos now!!!) And include a self addressed envelope as well as select method of collection. (registered mail, courier (cash on delivery), or in person.)

I am relieved. Just a bit more of waiting and I can say I'm done with this visa agony.

I hope all of you get yours very soon too since our timelines are pretty close. I will update on all long it took for me to get my passport and COPR back.

Hi Kimbo

I had the same horrible feeling too before I got news. I didn't hear anything at all from them so I guess now I know that no news is actually a good thing since that means anything you hear soon from them will be the good news instead of additional checks or documents and more waiting.

Have you submitted the police cert? If you haven't it will delay the process.
Hang in there!
