What does background check means? While sending the application we also submit the police clearance. So how do they do the background check again when they allready have the police clearance?

I'm just guessing khansam but maybe just a background check on the information provided to make sure there are no fakes or misinformation, not necessarily another criminal background check. I assumed that they did this with pretty well everyone.

This is my question too. The answer is you can apply for any number of times for TRV. You will get the visa or not fully depend on the Visa officer and your case. Smiley

So, if I apply for the TRV while I'm waiting for the PR visa, is there any chance of getting the PR visa instead of TRV? Or they may give me the TRV (lol)?

I'm just so frustrated right now! Sad

I am sorry to say I really don't know. Look at my timeline. I am waiting longer than you and thinking just like you. I talked with my husband. He doesnt appy for TRV now. He wants to wait.
The people here who got the PR instead of TRV, all of them were waiting for PR interview. Are you waiting for interview letter?
I read one case, she was from Kualalampure visa office. She applied for TRV but they issued PR visa.
You can always apply for TRV. If I were you I would apply Smiley

Thanks for the encouragement Amy! Smiley

I'll apply for the TRV may be but first I'll ask my hubby to get the GCMS, so that we get an idea. I am so lost you know! I was abroad for couple of years, I've attached the police certificate of that country with my application. Do you think this could effect the length of processing?

Any news for anyone waiting for the interview? i am planning on telling my obstetrician that i would like to bring my husband on a visitor visa and if she could write a note that i could include on the tvr application for my husband. I think it will help very much as the doctor knows i am by myself and my husband is living backhome. Do you think its gonna be a valuable thing to include on my tvr? Also really how much my husband should show in his bank? and how about me? do i need to show big amount?or just show my payroll and say that i work?and whatever my husband need i could provide him for his stay?  i know a letter of invitation plus maybe a ultrasound picture including due date  or something...what else i can include?help i want to be fully prepaired and send it before september. My dad is telling me to get a lawyer i dont wanna spend big buck for no reason,... any help will be appreciated. I am desperate ,anxious, scared, and feel lonely. I cry a lot, and i know all this is so bad for my baby.   Undecided  My husband also feel terrible that i have to go trough this on my own...

I guess you already have documents from "stupidrim" about TRV, so include all the documents as he mentioned and doctor's notes would really be helpful in my opinion. I am not sure that big amount would make a huge difference, but show the prove that he has tie with country(i.e Job , school, business). Also mention that he has no reason to stay ilegally where a file in process for PR.

When i applied for TRV then i show my bank balance approx $7,000 & my husband also show is bank balance $7,000+ & give his salary statement. Also in the invitation letter he mention that he will bear all my expense. Unfortunately i didnot get the TVR because in that time my file was not open but your case is different so I hope he will get the TVR.

No she applied for PR, and her file was transferred to kualalampur in October, 11 I think. She applied for TRV just to visit her husband in December, 11 for X-mass. She never thought they would give PR. But they called her and informed they issued PR instead of TRV. I just imagine how lucky she is!!! So you never know. Cheesy

Thanks for your replies  @  afrosebd & silenthill.

@ Silenthill- I tried to send almost everything i could like stupidrim but it didnt workout, also about ties, my husband he used to work in his brothers furniture shop so we made a letter on behalf of his brother that he needs him to run the business but i guess its not a tie cuz its his own brother. But now he works at his own father business store and he is the only one working there so maybe that could be a reason to return back... On my invitation letter last time i wrote that he had no reason to stay since he is already waiitng for pr. But now i really wanna mention him to stay only the last 3month of pregnancy and 2month after birth. I think it makes more sence why i need him. I will try to get what i can as stupidrim againthanks

@ afrosebd- LAst time my hubby showed 3000$ and me i just put my payroll saying i work. I think you are right money is not a big deal but sure they wanna know how you gonna stay when in canada. By the way when u applied for tvr were u pregnant? and how your pregnancy going? 2more months eh?! are u excited Tongue? thanks

I guess the fact that i am expecting and if i send everything that is needed i will get tvr or pr if god wants, i will keep hoping for the pr.  Roll Eyes
