I am going from bd to canada to be with my wife who is a canadian citizen and sponsoring me. I booked a round trip ticket coz I need to be back in BD in about six months to wind up things  Smiley
Sorry about thatt:Pi thaught your wife was in bd, well hopefully you will land here safe, and everything will be allright, just dont forget to fill up the paper they give on the plane from turkey to toronto. Answer it truthfully especially on the question where they ask if you have any meat,seeds,insects..bla bla on your luggage, if the custom decide to open your luggage and you didnt report it than you will have a fine. I had to say that i had seeds cuz that was one of the thing on the question if i had i underlined, they asked me to open my luggage and wanted to see what kind a seed (it was vegetables seeds packed) they just checked and let me go. Last time when i returned they opened my luggage and checked stuff so before they openned i told them i had fruits lol. this time they didnt check by their own but asked me to open and show them the seeds...goodluck XD

True..it is better to let them know. what happened with me was I did say I don't have any food or fruits with me and it was true, but my daughter was only 2 and a half year old at that time and in the plane she had an apple and some cookies. When I faced custom the apple was still in her food bag and the custom officer told me I lied about saying I didn't have fruits with me. I actually forgot to through that apple before leaving the plane. Custom officer asked me to pay fine of $800 CND. I said sorry and finally another custom officer standing behind her told her to let me go, but told me next time to be careful.

I knew that didnt allow Seeds and Fruits as one of relatives were asked if she had any fruits , she readily confessed that she had, then the officer warned him to trash that fruit before she enters into the customs zone. it is so bad that they dont allow dried meat as well. anyone have any link to what Customs in Canada allow/disallow ?

Asian folks usually would want to carry dried meat, fishes with them to Canada. what is the way then?

Shahenaaz,

That was a tracer bullet millimeters over your head ! Smiley
they would surely fine you if you were a guy.

Shiny,

You cant blame An airlines or mark is as bad just cause it charges you $900 for changing seats?
Their food is excellent and they have on board chef that makes the food ever fresh !
When you talk in English in EU region, I have seen people look at you as if they have never seen a  talking human before. its that they are so proud and self confident and rich with their culture and language that they dont like using English.

Do they allow Shrip Curry/Semi Dried Shrimp/Kebabs/Tofu?
Dried fishes are the most common thing Asians would bring into Canada.
shiny holds a Canadian Passport so she was shown the soft corner , but for others it would be $800 of fine by CBSA. Shaheenaz, you were lucky to get away with your case lol.

I wonder how come the same foods are sold in Different Asian Shops in Canada?? What is the secret then.
