SophieNguyen,
Thank you for the information.   My wife's application is about 5 weeks behind yours.....started processing in Singapore Aug 4..     This tells me that they are at least starting to look at the applications fairly quickly, within a month of receiving them.

Did you ever receive a letter with a file number from Singapore for you (the applicant)?   So far, I have seen nothing other than the E-CAS update "started processing" and my sponsorship approval letter.

Thanks

Hi SophieNguyen,

Thank you for the information.   It is encouraging to know they are looking at the applications so quickly.

I have read on other posts that when the consulate asks for you to do something, like pay a fee, they do not look at your file again for 30 days or perhaps 60 days.   So, even if you pay the fee very quickly, they will not look to see if you have paid until the 30 days are done.

I am also wondering if perhaps you get an interview request still.   I have read of other people where the documents are returned, but they still ask for an interview.  Perhaps in your case though, they will not ask for an interview, since they have asked that you pay the fees.  It is hard to know what they are thinking.

Best of luck to you.

oh i see, singapore sent the letter to me just say" they returned all original document and my sponsor in canada must contact the CPC missisauga to submit the Right of permanent residence fee" thats it.
and then i asked my lawer in Canada she said it means they re ready to give my visa, and my case no need to interview.
my husband also recieved the letter from CPC Missisauga, they also ask him to submit PRF within 30days. i got mail from SING earlier than him 3days,so he paid PRF before he received the letter from Missisauga.
up to now, i have paid PRF for 1month-2days,still heard nothing from SING for PPR i dont know what happen to my applicant,i sent email to my lawer i wnt she send email to CIC in Sing for me,but she said we shouldnt hurry them,it maybe make everything slower,so now i dont know to ask anyone.

Hi SophieNguyen,
I agree with your lawyer and think you should wait a few more weeks.   It sounds to me like you will receive the passport request soon.   I very very surprised by how short a time it has been, since your application was received in Singapore.   Most people wait a much longer time.  Hopefully the trend will continue for others.

Please let me know what happens next for you.

And best of luck.

Just an update from me.  Today I logged onto E-Cas and it said my application has started processing in Singapore.  So, so far, my timeline is:

CPC-M received the application Jul.16th

Sponsorship was approved Aug. 17th

Singapore began processing Aug. 31st.

Take Care!
