baobaowaiting,

you did all that for the wedding in 4 weeks? thats pretty fast. it took us almost 3 months. reception day, wedding day, and all that and getting marriage certificate and doing all the tests required for it. and didnt have time to go on honeymoon and we submitted our application with no honeymoon stuff.

but my wife was slated on the interview list a month later after singapore got our application, they got our app around June 17 and informed us like on June 25 2010 that she was on the waiting list for interview. then she got letter in late April to interview on May 24th 2011 i think. but that time she had a huge carry bag of proof she brought with her, and the IO looked at it for 15mins before calling her in and talked with her for 30mins. they asked her few things about the application and rest was about casual talk.

- I went back to vietnam in Dec 2008 and met her in Jan 2009 and left on the 30th of Jan 2009
- I went back on Dec 24 2009 and we got married on Jan 29 2010 and left vietnam on March 16 2010
- I went back on Dec 14 2010 and she got pregnant on late Dec 2010 and I left Feb 6 2011
- I am going back on Aug 29 2011 and waiting for our Kid to be born and do his paperwork and bring my wife and my kid over to Canada.

I was checking the Ecas everyday and was pissed off everytime but grew into it because we knew we had to wait for letter for interview so the waiting just didnt bother me because i was going back to see my wife again. but it could be a lengthy wait if you get on the waiting list for interview.

Best wishes to All that is still waiting.
Did your child born in Vietnam and what paper you need to get to update the file?

I've been a Canadian PR since April, 2011 and living in Calgary and now looking forward to sponsor my wife. She did live in Singapore for about 4 years. We are trying to get more info on how to get Certificate of clearance from Singapore. and website says that Non - Singaporean has to wait for letter from CIC and then we have to send them to Singapore police force and they will mail them directly to CIC.

Really appreciate if some one who has received COC from Singapore could highlight more on this like

1) How long it takes to get request letter from CIC ?
2) How long it takes for Singapore police to send that doc to CIC ?
3) Do we have to send some doc mentioning we do not have COC from Singapore when sending initial document ?
4) Does my wife has to go to Singapore for this or she can just mail those required doc ?

Thanks,

Any one have idea about Singapore received PR application from CIC-M

CIC-M received my wife sponsor application on May 25, 2011 and Singapore received on July 11, 2011 as ECAS shows.
but i saw my cousin ecas looks weird
CIC-M received his wife sponsor application on June 16, 2011 and Singapore received wife PR application June 16, 2011

How they received before me even i applied before him, mean Singapore will look their file before me is not fair.

Anyway none of them goes to In Process yet or receive anything.

Anyone have same situation ?

Hi Guys,

May be some of you will be able to help me. I applied for my wife from Quebec in Early July 2011. Got a letter from CPC Mississauga on 1st September that my wife's application was forwarded to Singapore visa office, and was asked to apply for CSQ. I got a letter from CSQ on November 1st saying my wife's sponsorship was approved.

I haven't been able to check my wife's visa status online in ECAS yet. I have checked all the information, but Ecas still says: We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. I mailed Singapore visa office a month ago, but did not get any reply. Its been almost 5 month since I applied, so what do you guys suggest I do?

I am confuse about your statement.
Did you apple for your wife CSQ?
Normally once you receive approval letter from CIC-M you apply to get CSQ to Immigration-Québec it will take 3-4 weeks max to get CSQ certificate. You need to include CIC-M approval letter.

Immigration-Québec will send a copy to CIC-M and Singapore VO. Immigration-Québec will give you CSQ certificate to give your wife. It may need to your local visa office may not but you will need it every time once you wife come in Quebec.

I have a good news to share with you.Probably some of you remember that my wife was in interview list and i was very upset. Because, we applied for PR on March,27th,2011 and then they put us in 24 month interview queue at November. But i didn't lose my hope  and  in the mean time, i applied for TRV for my wife to celebrate  our first marriage anniversary together in Canada. But she was again called for an interview for the TRV yesterday but she successfully passed the interview this time . Visa officer advised her to do her medical again because the old one was going to expire on January.Visa officer also told her ,they will issue her PR visa instead of Visitor visa . So, she will not need to wait for 24 months anymore. We are very very happy now. And I am going for 2 weeks vacation this Friday and to bring her here in Canada.

Tips for you guys who are waiting for interview:
Apply for TRV for one month ,give all the documents that is helpful . And if you are lucky , then you might get PR or multi-entry TRV . If you need any further help, then feel free to contact with me at my email address: prince_buet @ engineer.com. Btw, I am from Bangladesh and this kind of visa is called "Dual Intent Visa" .

Have a gud night. It was wonderful journey with all of you guys. You gave lots of information ,specially this website. Thanks to all.New journey is going to begin......................................

it happened for me aswell, actually it means missiguava received application for sponsorship and permanent residentship both at the same time. it doesnot mean that singapore received the file. only after sponsorship application is successful it reaches singapore. for me ecas never says when singapore received file. it only said we received your application on ....... the day we filed our application.
probably they have changed the ecas system since june or july.
