I found this from data.gc.ca

April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011

Cases Passed   Cases Refused   Approval Rate   Total # of Visas Issued

Singapore - RPC            6,774            3,122              68%                 6,789

X % of cases were completed within M months or less

20 %                     30 %              50 %               70 %                80%
                                                                                                                               Total

7M                        9M              13M                       20M                   29M                  9,896 cases

I do not know when mine will finish. I wish at least finish in 9 months max. I do not know whay so many cases are refused by Singapore Vo. It is scare me too.

Between Jan'2010 to jun'2011 Singapore processed a total of 8250 application for all classes of permanent residence applications of which 3654 were for family class. So about half of the total were for family class. On an average they had to process about 23 applications per day (365 x1.5 -(52 x 2 (weekends) + 15 (holidays))x 1.5) of which approximately 10 were family class. Both Manila and New Delhi recieved about 3 times the applications during the same period and Beijing about the same. Just for your record.

I am trying to order CAIPS notes but the IMM5563B (Access to information form) asked for a visa file number.  The only number i have is my client number and I do not think it is the same as a visa file number.  singapore never sent me any AOR letter or has answer my email requesting for my wife's file number.  Tried calling the singapore office but it was a huge fail.  their automated machine just hangs up on you.  I have no idea how to get a visa file number to fill out a CAIPS form.  I will try to call cic canada and tell you how it goes...

I did apply for CAIPS notes before , I used just Client ID numeber Kid numeber that appeared on my sponsorship approval letter.
And I got CAIPS notes back within approximately 1 months

As i think when an application take long time to start process 60-8-% sure they will ask for interview. As Singapore VO quote
Quote
Processing times may vary, depending on the workload or if an interview is required

I asked them why an application delay process.I think when an application takes more than 9 months to start process possibility ask for interview.
Shafin after how many months you asked for capis notes?

i ordered caips notes after 4 months.

@ Shafin
which doucment you gave them photocopies? I gave them Birth certificate, medical, police cc original, and rest photocopies with notary seal on it. I will order for CAIPS Notess after 4-5 months will see what it shows.

I have a friend same time line like you. He gave everything original and notary copies and he did not get any answer no process nothing.
Day by day it is frustrating.
Hope next month will bring some good news.

I sent my application in February 2011. Singapore recieved in March 2011. Our case is very straight forward. Neither of us have been married previously. No kids. No criminal record. Good citizens. I sent everything and paid everything right up front. Checked and re-checked our application numerous times. Went back there in September to see her again.

Asked the local MP to look into it and see if they could get me any news. After a couple weeks the MPs office called and said that the Immigration office will be looking into our papers in November 2011 and that my wife will have to get another medical done(they expire after 1 year) but to not get the medical until told to do so by the Immigration office.

This is very, very difficult to wait so long like this. Not only for my wife and I but my family as well.

Why they hold until November 2011? It is confuse. If they ask for interview then it is a another big pain. I do not agree why they can take uptp 24 months for an interview. If they decide for interview they should give the deceision as soon as they receive application.

Like everyone else here, I have zero idea.

Interview or no interview she'll still have to, at the least, make another doctor appointment which took at least a month last time.

A few years back(4 and 6) a couple of my friends married and had to file through Singapore. Their wives were here inside 7 months after applying(1 including a quickie interview). They are both still very happily married with children.
