I think with all things related to the SG office or any office in the world every case is different. Our file went in process and three days later it was approved.. some people have been in process for months... I think it really is just a wait and see issue. sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks for reply.
one question what is the best time to get CAIPS notes  if need.
after 4-5 months or less.
Thanks

Hello guys.

I received a call from CIC sg asking me for additional documents (Police Certificate) from SG and Marshall Islands. They have instructed me to get one.

I have a question which I forgot to ask to the officer. I haven't pay my RPRF at the beginning of the application. I would like to make the payment and submit it together with my police certs. If anyone can advise me how to pay for this RPRF and where to submit the receipt. I'm a bit confused.

Thanks.

In my experience I have ordered Caips within 4 months and basically there is nothing in there except I knew that my medical have been received and in process. I would advise to order Caips in 6 months time. Just my 10cents.

It does seem that SG has stretches where nothing appears to be happening then out of the blue we will get a week or two of lots of stuff going on.. hang in there... patience is a virtue.

Hi Canuck..

How long it took for you to receive any communication letter from CIC-SG? They call me last week and they said they have sent request for additional docs for me. Still waiting for the letter.

Thanks man

I don't think my case is a good example and I don't think it's generally a very good idea to compare any two cases as no matter how much alike they might appear there are so many variables that we don't know or see.

I never received ANYTHING from SG. My file went to CIC Mississauga Feb 8th, approved March 8th as sponsor. File transferred to SG on March 17th, not a word ever about anything...somebody else mentioned on the forum their ECAS stuff changed so I went and had a look at mine and it said our file was in process, I think that was about the 27th of July, three days later the letter came SG via courier to our house saying we had been approved and to send the Passport in. We chose to fly there instead and my wife's Visa was stamped into her Passport on August 8th, so exactly five months since I sent to CIC and four months to the day after being approved to sponsor and in all that time I never heard one word of any kind from SG if I did not check ECAS that day I would have never known anything had changed and the courier would have been a total shock.. simply put we were as lucky as you can be in our process and are grateful for it.

Update. Did 2nd medical for wife together as requested on Aug 10th after arriving back in Thailand after a 2.5 stay in Canada. Sending additional cohabitation documents as they requested. Tons of original packages sent to me at wife's address and wife's mother, village chief and village commitee all signing declarations that we lived there together. Some other proof as well. Anyways don't get online much out here but nice to be back with my wife though hopefully can get to Canada for the xmas season.

Got additional in from from MP on case. They originally said everything was ok and gave me file # and said singapore sent letter requesting 2nd medical. They also apparently said that our file would be transferred to an official in late sept to make a desision after they get the medical. Sounds good as they will have the medical and additional documents in sept for the offical. Maybe well get a letter in oct or november and be in canada for december. :O
