Registered Post is reliable in Bangladesh. Always got within 4-5 days after issuing the letter. Even CHC-S send my medical request to the wrong address, the postman tried his best and finds me out to deliver the letter. So, i trust them now.

If really need to use courier, i think the FedEx have a "Prepaid Return Stamp" thing to use (i found on their website) and i assume anything comes from an embassy to Bangladesh would not be hold in customs.

Thank you very much for your valuable opinion. It reallt mkes sense.

Lets hope for the best.

Regards.

Yes, I got the request to submit passport along with redo medical test and re submission of police clearance certificate.

No, all the letter came to me as registered mail.

Time Line :

Application Received : December 8, 2010
Started Processing : February 5, 2012
Passport Request with re-medical : April 13, 2012 (I got the letter on May 7 , 2012)
Submitted Passport via FedEx : 22 May, 2012

May I know your time line? How are you planning to send/receive your passports from/to Singapore?

Do you know how to send a pre paid envelope to Singapore CIC?

I still did not receive any email from them. I saw in this group that some people got emails after submitting their passports.

Hope it helps.

Feel free to ask any question if you need.

Best Regards,

Rakib

Oh I see. Yeah my wife only got the request to redo medical and submit police certificate so now that they have received her medical results we are waiting on the passport request part.

This is my timeline:

App Filed: 02/05/2011
Singapore Received: 09/06/2011
Interview: 16/01/2012
Redo Medical Request: 14/05/2012 (mail dated May 8th)
Redid Medical: 15/05/2012

As for when we do end up getting the passport request we are still undecided whether we will submit it through the embassy here in Bangkok or if we will end up going to Singapore to deliver it in person. I just hope it comes soon.

As for prepaid envelope the only courier we spoke to about that (Fedex) said that they don't have prepaid envelopes but the account number thing that was stated here previously would be an option. We asked about it when we sent off our medical and police certificate a couple weeks ago.

You have got mail from them for redo medical on 14th May which was sent on 8th May? Is this via registered mail ? BEcause, I saw registered mail taking long time. In my case, they sent the mail on April 13 and I got that on May 7 !!!

From which city you are? Dhaka?

I think, you will get Passport request very soon.

Thanks.

Yes, I have similar experience. May be this means, they have seen your file or they are to start processing your application. This is just my guess, no pure logic for this.

But, I think, you will get a registered mail from them soon.

Thanks.

Nope, they didn't bother to use registered mail for us, just normal mail. And yes we received the request on May 14th and the letter was dated May 8th.

And our city is Bangkok. We are one of the few in this thread NOT from Bangladesh lol.

By reading your posts, I think we experienced weird eCAS updates in the past few days. My and my wife's eCAS, for the first time ever, showed our residential addresses (mine in Canada and hers in Vietnam) yesterday. Status has been "in process" since mid-April 2012 even though my wife had redone her medical exam and recently submitted her passport. I believe CIC has no specific standard(s) in updating eCAS. It is very confusing and unpredictable.  Angry
That really sucks!
