well i am Canadian citizen of course. i went to Bangladesh on oct 4-2010 , married on oct 16-2010, came back to canada on feb 01-2011. i almost stayed 4 month after marriage. some people just get married couple weeks and comeback i think u need to stay little longer with ur spouse. as usual application was filled by a local chartered accountant. i had submitted only 10 photos, my parents 3 brother and 1 sister all were there in Bangladesh for wedding , i submitted all the boarding passes, copies of  plane ticket of all my family members attending wedding. 1 month of telephone call logs and all the other doc required.

Great to hear about your case thegreatone! Four months, wow. I wish I could have taken so much time off work to be with my wife after the wedding. I was with her about two weeks before and four weeks afterwards, although I've also returned to Vietnam several times since then, for about six weeks each time. My parents and sister were also present at the wedding, and my sister even came back to Vietnam the year afterwards to be with the family for the Vietnamese new year at the same time as one of my trips. Submitted all that info. Hopefully we'll have a similar timeline to yours

Great to hear about your case thegreatone! Four months, wow. I wish I could have taken so much time off work to be with my wife after the wedding. I was with her about two weeks before and four weeks afterwards, although I've also returned to Vietnam several times since then, for about six weeks each time. Anyone can help me please i am hopeless ... i am a new member here! i am originally bangladeshi  spent my whole life in Canada!  I went to bangladesh to marry the man of my life in december 2009.............


     Missisauga received application to sponsor: february 9,2011                                                      Accepted as a sponsor: march 9, 2011                                                                                      Singapore Received application for permanent resident: march 17,2011                                      Singapore sent proofs and letter for wait interview date: october 19,2011

and on cic website its still on (application received) the letter my husband received says that he is on the interview waiting list for the next 24months??!  

and i see some peoples processing time is so quick ,but what happened to mine? ive seen that some people that sent their file before me their partner has allready received passport and even landed? thats not fair i thought it was first come, first served...

we have same timeline and same situation. My spouse also got interview letter indicates wait time 24 months. I just dont know what to say to you, at this point of time I guess we have nothing to do but waiting , and letter for interview date.  I can understand how you feeling because I am going through same situation.

 I am from Bangladesh. As we have same timeline and same country, I guess it is better to keep a track for timeline.

My friend's got visa in 4 momths, so First come first server or what mistake we made preparing file NO Clue

That would be me. The file was received by the singapore vo on feb 3rd 2011. Nothing changed for 7 months until we sent additional proof and they started processing on sept 18th 2011. I do not think it is a coincidence.

I am in the same situation kind off..but they sent a letter on october 19 stating to wait a letter for interview date and time. where did you send the additional prove??? in singapore??

Well, I was thinking sending additional proof. But problem is interview letter indicates that, they will not accept any additional proof and/or documents untill interview date.
you might send it , but you can email them first and see if they reply or not.

I received a call from CIC this morning. My passport with a visa is ready for collection tommorow morning.

Application Received in SG: 17 March 2011
In-Process: 17 July 2011
Additional Documents Requested: 19 August 2011 (Singapore Police COC)
Additional Document Submitted: 12 Sept 2011
Paid RPRF : 08 Sept 2011 (I don't wait for their request)
Medical Received: 12 Sept 2011
Passport Request: 16 Sept 2011 (Pending Police Cert, PP and PP size ID)
Passport Submitted: 23 Sept 2011 (courier)
Visa Approved: 27 Sept 2011
Request to Collect PP: 29 Sept 2011

Well, I was thinking sending additional proof. But problem is interview letter indicates that, they will not accept any additional proof and/or documents untill interview date.
you might send it , but you can email them first and see if they reply or not.

yes you are right well it means additional proves is only on the time of interview... check the other post i put on someone's time of processing!!! exact same date of the first 3steps as mine and then woop!!!his things went in a different way! okay keep me updated if anything change untiil then goodluck

ecas says : application received only, but my husband received letter october 19,2011 that he is on the waiting list for an interview and it may takes around 24months!! but i dont understand why itdoesnt show in process then?! they sent the pictures,wed. video and prove of gifts sending and stuff along with the letter to wait for a interview date. its so depressing....am i so stressed 11months now...just waitinggggggggg waiitingg and i guess another year to wait for a damn interview by that time my husbands police cleareance and medical will expired i guess... and then redo all those papers again i bet!!! what a luck!

dont worry too much, u dont have to wait for 24 months, usually for bangladeshi applicants they fix interview date with 4/5 months. u should order CAIPs notes to see why they have asked u for interview. good luck
