Good news, but how will this help us exactly?
It will help to process our and future applicant's files faster and will reduce our effort/headache.

Hi

OMG  Shocked I did not realize that I have to submit RCMP clearance as well !!! I have been living in Canada for 18 months and still am. I thought we it was not needed.

No you don't unless CIC requests a RCMP Criminal Records Check.

Wow. So sorry to hear about the wait Hello121. That is really heartbreaking. Is there any way that you can spend more time over there to make up for the time spent apart? Also, if I were you, I'd order CAIPS notes to see exactly what their reasons are for putting you in the interview queue. In starting out, you seemed to feel that your case was pretty straightforward, so it'd be interesting to learn where their doubts are coming from. Stay strong and keep us up to date in the meantime. My wife and I haven't heard anything back yet, but we are hoping against hope that the interview will be waived for us... although it's commonly held that 80-90% of cases from Vietnam go to interview--I'd assume it'd be the same from Cambodia.

Now Singapore vo are calling forbl interview almost everyone except lucky one. Did you see in process on your ecas? I think when they think interview need they do no call for interview at first review  (it does first 1-2 months  insatial review).
what reason they call for interview they should state that and we can prepare.
I am thinking what will happen to me.interview que makes me angry, sad, worry and lonely.

My wife received the same letter but she also got a phone call and they told her about 20 months.  It is a standard letter.  Latter that week she received pictures of our wedding and some other proof.  Now we wait another 7 to 8 months for an interview date.  I think this process will be about 3 years.  Makes no sense.

HI Hello121,

I am very sorry to hear that. It seems like they are putting people in interview list without any reason.

Where is wife from?

Be strong...hope you get the interview date soon.

Thanks.

Last Friday CIC-Mississauga sent me letter for mother's sponsorship application. It seems to me now, our parents will get immigration faster than our wives. Tongue

Positive part is ,there are changing their old immigration system.
