May 2009 Got married

july 2009    Got back to canada on

August  2009   sponsored my wife

october  2009   letter received on  (last update on cic) thats when it was sent to singapore

may 2010 after twiddling my thumb till april 2010, brought my wife over for our anniversary
legally extended my wife's visitor visa every 3 months, applied and received

november 10th 2010 received interview letter , waited expected to be 18 months

april 2011  received letter for interview in may (in bangladesh)
they asked my wife only 3 questions, smiled and thats it (redid her health, took rcmp clearance, did police clearance in bgd, submitted it at the interview)

june 2011 received letter that it seems i forgot to pay landing fees ( i am sure i paid all fees, but mind care to again)
since my wife is pregnant quit my freaking job, since taking care of my prego is job #1 to me, moved to bangladesh for good.

september 2011 got a letter  that she should hand in her passport

september 2011  passport handed to embassy

36th week of pregnancy will be november 2nd 2011, (she cant fly after 36 weeks) which means if the child is born, it will be another 12-16 months at least.

so far it has taken me : 2 years 1 month 3 days and counting.

desperately waiting for any info how long would take for her to get her passport.

ps this wait, tell me is canadian citizenship really worth the wait? I wondered over and over again every month.

taken exact dates off why? immigration canada scares me!!! dont wanna face any repercussions, since it is my to be child who will suffer

kind of an odd question to ask. if you do not feel being a Canadian citizen is worth it why bother with the immigration process in the first place.

You had waited longest period. You have a good patient not like me. Are you a canadian citizen? They may ask for redo medical before give visa, it could be. It will be better you stay with your wife until child born and pass your time with your wife and with your child who will born. and forget about immigration and sponsor for few months, i hope it will be good for you. Give the time with your wife if you are able.
Wish you good luck.

SPORE asked for my wife's passport in Sept
E-CAS changed to Medical has been received in Sept
PP sent in Sept.
Today E-CAS changed to Decision has been Made on my wife's PR application!!!!

YEAH!!!!! almost over!

All we have to do now is wait for the passport to be returned.

My wife's application was received in Mississauga Jan 4, 2010
was sent to SPORE and received by Feb 3, so we have waited approximately 19 months, excluding the month in mississauga.

We are stuck on 79 sigs all of the regional news outlets I spoke with seemed to think it was a pretty non event with not even 100 sigs, to them it kinda showed that SG is doing a good job if that is all we can muster that are displeased with the system out of the number of apps they process each year.

Maybe it's not for you. Seriously and I don't mean to be harsh but you started the process because at one point you DID think it was worth it.. or did you only think it was worth it if it was really easy and fast.. in other words if it takes any actual work or waiting on your part you aren't up for that?

You have to look to yourself, why did you apply in the first place and do the reasons that you filed the app still apply? If they do then tough it out once done you will never have to go through it again.

If those reasons no longer apply just pack it in withdraw the application and carry on with your life.

Canada is NOT the cure all to all the world's ills nor is it perfect or even a good fit for everyone. But ONLY YOU can decide what is right for you and your family. Just be honest with yourself, if you have family in Canada as you say ask them honestly are they glad they live there, would they rather be somewhere else??

Hi suva
As proof attached the following
Skype logs
Boarding pass for the original trip and Copy of already purchased ticket for the next visit
Lots of pictures for three different ceremonies
Some post ceremony pictures with families
Western union money transfer receipts
Some Purchased jewelry receipt
Letter from the bank stating we have a joint account in good standing
Letter from the Canadian pension fund stating that my wife is the beneficiary
...."............
I'm wondering whether I should further update with things like
More Skype logs
Spousal Health insurance card from work
More western union transfer receipt
Purchase receipts I.e. Jewelry, iPad etc
