Hai, well-wishers,

Kindly, let me know that,
Can a Temporary Resident Visa holder is eligible for applying SIN ?
If so, how long time it takes to obtain SIN ?

No - you cannot apply for a SIN on a Temporary Resident Visa. You need a work permit.

please, let me know,
Is it possible to extend a TRV (6 months) and in meanwhile can he/she work temporarily. If yes, how to proceed to get a temporary job.

On a sunny day, you can always ask your neighbors if they need car wash and earn some money  Cool.  In summer, I always saw small children set up lemonade stand outside their garage.  I don't think you need SIN for that  Tongue

It is illegal to work on a Temporary Resident Visa.

If you want to work, you'll need to find an employer. That employer will then have to apply for a Labour Market Opinion. If the Labour Market Opinion is approved, you can then apply for a Work Permit. If your Work Permit is approved, you can then start working.

Warning: It is quite difficult to find employers who are willing to go through the Labour Market Opinion process.
