SIN and OHIP

Hey guys hubby is landing in the next three weeks YEAH!!!! and I want to know how I can apply for his SIN and health card (for ontario), can I do any of this before he arrives?

Is there anything else I need to set up besides the drivers licence sin and health card? (I've already got his driver licence figured out, I think!)

your hubby needs to visit service canada in person for his SIN and he need 3 months waiting period for ohip.

You can not get a Health Card without a address proof..such as DL, Phone bill or CC Statement.
Even if you do get a Health Card it will only be valid after 90 days.

You can not do anything until he lands, they need his COPR to issue both SIN/Health.

Here's the official document list that describes what your husband will have to provide to apply for OHIP:

As others have said, he won't qualify for OHIP until he has lived in Canada for three months. He can apply earlier but they won't send him the card until he's close to the three month date.
