Signing Immigration Photos

Supply nine (9) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself (accompanying and
non-accompanying). Photos submitted must be properly labeled at the back with the applicant's
name, date of birth and signature. Follow the instructions in Appendix B: Photo Specifications

1. I've read and did a search about signing photos and it's a bit confusing. Above Photos, not specifically 1 photo, must be signed etc. However in my search I read twice about people signing all the photos and then having them returned and asked to retake the photos and just sign 1.
I'm not sure if different countries have different rules?

2. In some application forms it says "Space reserved for applicants photo." Is this part of the 9 photos requested or do we need 9 + these ones?

Follow whatever it says in YOUR regional guide.  Yes, there are different rules for different countries.

Just the 9 photos.  Don't put any in the spaces where it says "reserved", they will do that themselves.

I was so scared after reading the post.. as we did not write anything on the back of photos... but then I went through the region specific guide for my country twice and it says nothing about writing anything on back of photos...

My country does not say anything at all except the size of the photo. But I wrote my name on the back and signed on all 5 copies. I wonder how everyone else sends theirs for Malaysia VO.
