Hi there.
Am a principal applicant for permanent resident under the category of protected person in Canada.
I filled out the Generic and background check form for me and my wife, though she is living back home.
My question is , Can I sign the Background check declaration for her?
Or she has to sign that paper and get it back to me?
So confusing and need clarification.
Thanks   Roll Eyes

Is this supposed to be a question? Don't you understand what background declaration it is about?

Am sorry buddy to bother you. yes indeed it is definitively a question!.
Because, the CIC has sent this application form directly to mein order to fill it up and submit it.
From the very beginning i understood that I should fill up, signed  and submit it to the center,  on the other hand I am a bit
worried not to make a mistake if the processing  center are expecting this document to be signed by my wife from where she is (back home).
Please understand me from this perspective.
Don't forget I am belongs to protected person category not family sponsorship.

Hi Sisay,

Yes, you are the one who will need to sign and date the IMM5669 form. You are wife will be given application forms after you get AIP after her file will be transferred to the closest VO where she resides lawfully now. I went through the same process so dont worry just fill the forms and sign it you do not need to send it to your wife to sign the declaration.
