CIC - its always original; no matter what kind of immigration visa you are applying!

tricky situation - had this question in mind too!

one possibility - apply for one; and once the PPs are requested, I heard IELTS originals are returned (by CHC atleast).  you can use it for the other.
second possibility - take ielts twice.

well both have their own drawbacks.  i am not sure if there is a better choice.

i would let the seniors provide other options that may be available.

I heard that there is a third way to apply where IELTS (AEO or British council) will send your result to the immigratin office but how to do that?

If your IELTS result is not older than 2 years, you can ask the organization you sat the test at to send an official copy to where you need it to be sent directly. They will do it for a fee. Contact your test center.

So if my test centre is going to send my result to the immigration office then there is a change the my result card is not going to be with my application. So there is a chance that my IELTS result card is lost. When should i apply for the test centre to send my result. I should apply first without IELTS result then wait for the immigration office to reply me to send my IELTS result. What should i do?

I had heard - but I may be wrong, so pls check it out - that British Council would NOT send the results to IMMIGRATION needs; it would send only for university needs.

can some body confirm - seniors?

Within one month after your IELTS test result, you can ask British Council to send to any university, institution(e.g. CHC). You are allowed to send 5 original
copies FREE within the month. After one month, you pay a small fee for each sent.

Original should be sent.  I am not sure whether they will give back the Original TRF if our application got rejected for some reason.

Yes I can confirm that the British Council WILL NOT send the IELTS copy to Aus/Canada immigration. However, if you have done IELTS general, just tell them that you need an official copy for employment purposes and ask them to send it to some office address (maybe a friend's office). They will do it.
