Hi,

I submitted similar documents but only photocopies. It never crossed my mind to notarise it and they never asked for it. Just make sure you have documents to prove she is your sister, like birth certifcates, and documents to prove she is in Canada now.

Hi,

We should send the notarize copies to CHC even i did the same thing, my sister has done the notarization for all the docs in Canada (A lawyer can do this notarization in Canada) and she sent me the notarized photocopies of docs.

but it costs a lot of money, whats the point of notarising when photocopies do work, this topic has been discussed before check the link

There is no need to notorize as they do not request for that. Remember that they can easily verify the citizenship or permamnent resident card issue by them. What is quite important is that the document sent should show or prove your relationship with the person in  canada. Eg birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc
Best wishes
