To fill up the B4 form, should I list down each and every item that I put my luggage or only the valuable  goods. More clear, should I list down tooth brash, razor, comb? or only dresses, ornaments, cookeries etc. Pls suggest.

From http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Goods_To_Follow

Your Goods To Follow list may include items like the following:
6 boxes of books .............................................. $X,XXX
1 box of kitchen utensils .................................... $XXX
4 boxes of bath linen ........................................ $XXX
5 boxes of bed linen ......................................... $XXX
TOTAL GOODS TO FOLLOW ............................... $XX,XXX

Your Goods Accompanying list may include:
1 suitcase ...................................................... $XXX
1 shoulder bag ................................................ $XXX
clothes in suitcase .......................................... $X,XXX
1 laptop computer (brand, model, serial number) ... $X,XXX
1 camera (brand, model, serial number) ............... $XXX
TOTAL GOODS ACCOMPANYING .......................... $XX,XXX

Your actual lists probably will be longer. Your Goods To Follow list may run to several pages. The point of this example is just to demonstrate the level of detail that is required.

u need to prepare two lists i.e. Goods accompanying and Goods to follow. Same form is applicable.

Goods accompanying list needs to be brief and with approximate values but clear enough to assure IO that what actually what u r carrying. Though on first landing, IO never shows interest even looking at the list but this is for safety purposes

Goods to follow should have all very clearly mentioning detail of items to follow after u land in Canada. Prepare excel sheets for every item category with approximate values ang give reference of these lists on B4 form. Make sure to hv pics of jwellery that u wish to import. Values for all items will b on average basis that do not need any supporting doc to prove. Declare as many items as u can to avoid import tax.

Thanks to all. One question, if I do not clear idea what items could I bring after my landing in Canada, should I make any goods to follow list yet? It has any future benefit? If I do not submit this list during arrival , does it  mean that I can't bring any goods after?
