I am still under the live-in-caregiver program and my permit was cut cuz i quit from my previous employer,is it true that if i can't find an employer within 3 months i should leave canada then? And if I get another employer and a valid work permit the months being unemployed should extend my 24 months for example i work from aug 2009-may 2010 for the first employer  (10 months) 2nd employer aug 2010-march 2011 |(8 months) if i find another employer when should i apply my open work permit?do i need to extend the months being unemployed? If I'm lucky to get a new employer and a new work permit let say by july or aug when shoul i apply for OWP?thanks in advance.

You apply for your OWP/PR when you have completed the 24 months or 3900 hours of work (depending on the option you want to use).

hi there...you dont need to leave canada as long your last work permit is valid. now with regards to your question when you submit OWP/PR is when you complete the 24 months. you mention you have 10 + 8 from your last 2 employer so you still need to find 3rd employer to complete another 6 months or more. and remember you have to complete 24 months within 4 yrs stay in canada...so let say 4th year is finished..so have to repeat the program again.

if your still looking for a job try to check on craigslist in your area..Kijiji or look for local employment agency.

if your still confuse and need help why dont you seek help to your nearest filipino community there..you can check on other forum where to get their numbers. and also enlighten all your questions
