Dear Experts,

I did assessment for myself and scored the following points:

1 Education                  5
2 Language Ability         12
3 Work Experience         21
4 Age                          10
5 Arranged Employment  10
6 Adaptability               10
Total Score                  68

My questions is for education, I get only 5 points. Should I apply for immigration or not?

Please advice seniors.

scanner,

I think you should not apply, since you dont have enough points for the education factor.

Well I think you should definitely go ahead and apply. You got 68 points, that should be fine. As far as I know there's no such rule saying that "you should have at least xx points from education in order to be eligible". You got an arranged employment too. I would just go ahead if I were you.

Your points >=67 then yes, you can apply. FSW requiered 67points minimum. as per you it's 68 so you can apply. Follow all eligibility criteria by CIC. read more on www.cic.gc.ca find Federal skilled workers, even you can take self test for eligibility criteria.

Most important, check your NOC if you qualify or not.

Yes, you can apply but first check your NOC list and apply ASAP, new NOC list will announce in nearest months for year 2011. might be it will come with some good changes as per Canadian labour market.

your NOC is no longer , then yes go for work visa, after 1year you will apply from inside Canada (Read about FSW2), or wait for new NOC list of 2011.
