well, there is the question already.

I have been in Canada year and half now, and I have my personal stuff here already, thanks to moms visits in this and last spring! Yay!
I am planning to land on Saturday, first go to US to do some shopping for hubby and me. Can I claim my shoppings as my goods when I land? It's ok if not, just want be sure and make landing process as fast and smooth as possible.

Thanks  Tongue

Hi millu,
Cheesy,no one will specifically ask you for such silly things while landing in Canada if you don't declare as you are carrying goods for trade. The dress or house hold items can be braught with you as long as it fits in your allowed baggage size. Means you can bring few pairs of jeans, shirts and shoes from US. As I am in US now for holidays I just shopped some jeans and shoes yesterday at the mall in Charlotte,NC because it is costlier in Toronto than in US. There is sale going on now in most of the outlets.

we did some shopping...quite a bit actually.
and we were ready to pay taxes at the border, but the officer didnt take anything. we said we have some shoppings and that we are here to land. i just signed some forms and confirmed that nothing has changed, and then they welcomed me to canada Smiley

so everything ended up being good!
