Hi,

My name is Pradeep and few months back I've received my *Confirmation of Permanent Residence* for Canada,

From my understanding, after one has landed in Canada needs to show minimum funds, I would like to understand what is the funds required to be shown at the border or is it i can get few thousand dollars and then can get more when i want via transfer.

Pls answer below:

1>. Is there a minimum Fund Required (CAD) while immigrating to Canada as per Rules and is it mandatory to get at the time of landing in Canada or else you would not be allowed to land.

Thank you very much

You have asked the same question early this month.

Here was your reply:

Please check http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

Thanks Steaky for your revert, however there's cloud in my mind. As per the given link it states that

" You will need to provide proof of your funds to the Canadian visa office in your home country when you submit your application for immigration. "

It implies this amount is required at the time of application however for "How much money should you bring?" it states

"Bring as much money as possible to make moving and finding a home in Canada easier.", which is an open statement.

If you could confirm if there's a minimum fund requirement as bringing as much as money does not imply a figure,

Lastly, I also understand that I need to Disclose funds above C$10,000, hence wanted to know if I can get a lesser amount or is it mandatory to get the funds as per specified at the time of application i.e. $11,115 for 1 Family Member.

Regards,
Pradeep

According to Qorax (one of our respected member) in the following post, there is a minimum amount funds you need to bring during landing: at least or more than what CIC requirement states... i.e. $11,115 for 1 family member:

Just bring funds in combination of Bank Draft, Travellers cheque & Cash.  And bring at least the minimum required; I would bring a little bit more to make sure you're not "border line".
