If you don't have it with you or proof that it is accessible, then there is very good chance that you will be denied "landing"

Actually I m not clear. I have a relative in canada. Primarily I want to stay there. How they will check up my funds? If necessary, my relative may support for cash. Then how i can show that i have sufficient fund?

When you show up at the Port of Entry to "land" the officer will usually ask you to produce proof of your settlement funds.  This is a requirement for the size of your family.  No proof of funds, no landing, and you are sent home.
