Hello,

I am emigrating to Canada in October with my wife and daughter on a spousal visa.

My current employers still wish to hire me while I am in Canada and I was thinking the best thing to do would be to set up a sole proprietorship company in Canada.

Can anyone tell me if I can do this before moving to Canada? We are moving to Nova Scotia.

If it is possible can you tell me how to get started?

Thanks,
Dave.

That's quite a complicated situation that you are going through. I don't think that you will be able to set a sole proprietorship company unless you have someone to help you there. It would be better if you are present there to look forward with the proceedings.
