my friend had applied under NOC 0631 in September 2011. His application was received on 27th September 2011. He recently go back his entire application and got a letter (dated December 13) from CIO, saying he is not eligible right now, as the cap has been reached.

Do you know when your application was received by CIO? Do you know when your Demand draft or credit card was charged? If your credit card was charged in November, I think you will have made the quota.

An applicant (in another forum) whose application was received on October 3, 2011 got his PER dated December 29, 2011. Actually this is his second submission because his previous application was returned due to lack of supporting documents. His previous NOC is 6241 and his present NOC is 0631.

Architect got back his package. his application was filed in early November. here's his post

'My application returned back due to a missing form required to fill by the spouse as well.
I got it back on jan 17 . Filled the missing form and sent it on jan 18 along with old application packet and
Received by CIC today (jan 19 2012).
I am three month behind for everything now.

I'm sorry for posting an information where a certain applicant from the other forum to have successfully received a PER under NOC 0631 (received Oct. 3, 2011). When I followed up a question to him if he has a job offer even 0631 NOC was already cap reached on the last week of September, he said he's actually have an NOC of 6241 and have a mistake in his timeline info (not 0631).

ours was recievd november 30th 2011 under noc 0631...compared to september were way far than yours..i think we didnt made it on cap ...since i started joining this forum it seems that it was reached maybe around 1st week of september..so right now were just waiting for our docs to come back to us and be ready for july 2012 opening..its almost 3 mos now...no email, DD was not encashed..no feedback at all..:-(

how long did it take for your docs to come back? its almost 3 mos now...all we wanted is to have our docs in our door steps..im worried..i need that as soon as the july opening comes...ty so much :-)
